A lot is involved in the design and realisation of a building project. A good design is just the beginning. Deerns’ Construction Management team ensures that the design becomes reality, exactly as intended. This means that the construction project is realised according to the set specifications, within the agreed limits of time, money, scope and quality. In this process, Deerns acts as the appointed responsible party from the client’s perspective.
Budget
We monitor the project budget and identify and advise on additional work and changes in project scope. We also supervise instalment payments and the associated financial reporting. This prevents financial setbacks and keeps the project within budget.
Organisation and communication
With a proactive approach, we help prevent problems during the construction phase and enable the contractor to work as efficiently as possible. This involves paying close attention to mutual communication by keeping each other well-informed about progress and actions that might affect quality. In this way, we ensure that critical factors within a construction project are safeguarded at all times. Furthermore, the frequency of inspections is tailored to the client’s wishes but can also be adjusted during the process.
Quality
Monitoring the quality and quantity of construction work and the construction process is one of our core activities. Within the agreed responsibilities, our technical installation supervisor(s), execution leader(s) and/or execution manager(s) monitor the contractual agreements between the client and the contractor. Compliance with laws and regulations is crucial here so that the building continues to operate safely, efficiently and in accordance with regulations in the long term – and is therefore future-proof.
Information
We monitor document management, the preparation of periodic status reports, and the commissioning and handover procedure. As a result, no important information is lost.
Time
Delays can have major consequences for a project. We monitor the planning closely, identifying possible delays in time and advising where necessary to adapt the process.

Construction Management requires a multidisciplinary team where clear communication is the starting point. Our team has specialist knowledge in sectors such as Electronics, Life Sciences, Airports, Real Estate, Data Centre and Healthcare. This enables us to deploy the right expertise for each sector and discipline, and to solve complex issues efficiently. Our technical supervisors, execution leaders and execution managers are fully up to date with regulatory, safety, health and environmental requirements, and know how to source additional expertise and knowledge within our own organisation.
