The Hague, 20 September 2023. Deerns announces that Mr Jan Kimpen joins the Supervisory Board of Deerns Group B.V. after approval from the shareholders.
Mr Kimpen joins Mr Theo De Vries and Ms Hildagarde McCarville on the Supervisory Board. Mr de Vries takes over as Chair of the SB from Mr Peter De Neef whose 8-year tenure in the role has come to an end.
Mr Kimpen holds many years of experience as a senior executive in healthcare and international companies such as Royal Philips (Philips) and is serving as a member of the Supervisory Board for the University of Twente and as Professor of Paediatrics at Utrecht University in the Netherlands.
His extensive experience includes as executive advisor of the Global Future Council on Health and Healthcare, the World Economic Forum and serving as CEO and Chair of the Executive Board at the University Medical Centre, Utrecht.
Mr Kimpen qualified as a Doctor of Medicine at the University of Leuven, Belgium and participated in the Senior Executive Programme at the International Institute for Management Development in Lausanne.
Through his wealth of experience on the impact of the recovery environment for patients and working environment for healthcare professionals, he will contribute to Deerns’ position as an industry leader in the Health Care Market. Mr Kimpen says, “Patient and healthcare professional experience is influenced dramatically by their environment. I’m passionate to help Deerns create energising, sustainable and inspirational infrastructure to serve the people that spend an important part of their live in these buildings.”
