Deerns Brazil has risen 11 places to 46th in the annual OE rankings for the 500 largest construction and engineering companies in Brazil in 2023. In the region of São Paulo, the company was placed 16th – a climb of 6 places.
The OE 500 ranking is published annually by O EMPREITEIRO, a leading industry publication. The rankings reflect individual company performances and give valuable insight into developments and trends within the sector.
Speaking of the achievement, Ricardo Fornari, Managing Director Deerns Brazil said: “Deerns first featured in the OE Rankings in 2022. Our growth since then has been exponential which is reflected in our impressive progress up this year’s ranking. We are delighted with the advances we have made, consolidating our position as leaders in the data centre sector and pursuing opportunities in the airport, hotel, hospital and pharmaceutical sectors.”
Overall O EMPREITEIRO found positive news for Brazil’s infrastructure industry, with a 37.45% increase in gross revenue of the 190 largest engineering companies. This they attribute to solid demand across the sector for both public and private projects.
There was also a significant increase in revenue from Special Engineering Services indicating a growing demand for dedicated specialists. Something Ricardo Fornari, seeks to build on in the coming year.
“We are very optimistic about the opportunities we see in Brazil for niche markets, particularly as the demand for data centres and other digital services continues to grow. We are looking forward to further establishing ourselves as leaders in these areas as well as in more traditional engineering activity.”
