“Optimising processes for groundbreaking semiconductor production”

As a process engineer for Deerns, Paz Molina Elías’s work is critical to the growth and success of clients operating at the cutting edge of the semiconductor industry.

Expertise in critical processes

The rapid pace of technological development combined with external factors such as regulatory changes and political direction, demand that the semiconductor industry is constantly seeking to optimise processes, maintain resilience and be ready to adjust to future requirements. Paz helps deliver this through the innovative design and management of industrial processes, “I focus on what is needed to enable all steps in a production environment” she explains. Working for Deerns Electronics division, Paz recently supported one of our clients, a world-leader in semiconductors, on a project to replace dispensing systems that are critical to the controlled delivery of chemicals. “Without these processes the factory cannot function.”

Among her technical contributions, Paz also ensures that safety, an essential element in process engineering, is thoroughly addressed from the design phase of every project.

International experience

Originally from Madrid, Paz is currently based at our Eindhoven office. Working on international projects in the semiconductor industry, Paz is involved in projects in the Netherlands, Copenhagen and Taiwan. “I find it fascinating to see how the technical design can differ per project and customer.” she says. This level of international exposure allows Paz to gather inspiration and best practice from projects from around the world, enabling her to develop solutions that not only meet technical standards but also perfectly match the specific requirements of different customers.

" Ultimately, it's about building systems that optimise results and operate safely in the environment for which they are intended. That's what I strive for every day.
