Deerns celebrates multiple awards!

The Hague, 11 March 2026 — Three projects Deerns has been closely involved with clinched top recognition at THE PLAN Real Estate Award 2026.

Hosted by a leading international architecture magazine, THE PLAN Real Estate Award showcases outstanding real estate operations. The three projects collectively earned four awards, including the prestigious Overall Winner title at The Plan Real Estate Award 2025.

2025 Overall Winner and Urban Regeneration Future Category First Prize – Manifattura Tabacchi, Verona (Italy)

The Manifattura Tabacchi project, designed by Snøhetta, implements a comprehensive sustainability strategy at both urban and building level, adopting a LEED campus approach combined with individual LEED certifications, with each building targeting LEED Gold.

Deerns was responsible for the façade engineering design, contributing to environmental performance, resource efficiency and long-term resilience across the entire site.

Design & Innovation Category – First Prize – Palazzo Revere, Milan (Italy)

Palazzo Revere is an ambitious residential redevelopment project in the heart of Milan’s historic centre. Led by Ardian, the project was designed by De Amicis Architetti who oversaw the transformation of a late 19th-century building into high-end residences.

Deerns was tasked with MEP design, acoustics, construction supervision, health & safety coordination during design and execution phases.

Design & Innovation Category – Honourable Mention – Faro Building, Madrid (Spain)

The Faro building in Madrid achieved LEED Platinum, BREEAM Excellent and WELL Gold certifications as well as achieving WiredScore Platinum and is Spain’s first zero carbon building. It was developed for Ardian, with architectural design by GCA Architects, Deerns was part of the integrated design team for sustainability and smart score advisory.

THE PLAN awards took place on 27 January 2026 at Fonderia Napoleonica Eugenia in Milan.
