Ainara also brings a rigorous approach to risk identification and mitigation, with a strong emphasis on environmental considerations, permitting, scheduling and site-related challenges – factors that are critical in semiconductor and cleanroom projects.
Beyond the technical aspects, she guides clients through due diligence, feasibility studies, site selection and the development of high-spec facilities. Deerns’ Electronics Footprint in Spain
To date, two major projects have laid the foundation for Deerns’ Electronics activity in the country.
- New semiconductor fabrication plant (Fab): Site technical due diligence
- Pilot Line: Evaluating an existing microelectronics R&D facility and defining a strategy for the extension of its pilot line to increase capacity and upgrade process capabilities.
Ainara has led these projects from the Spanish side, driving their technical scope and client engagement. In both, her role combines project management with technical coordination, ensuring that client needs are accurately translated into engineering requirements and delivered through a coherent, multidisciplinary approach.
For the Site Technical Due Diligence project, she also contributed her expertise in permitting, planning constraints and regulatory pathways, identifying potential showstoppers at an early stage and aligning the development strategy with Spanish legal and environmental frameworks.
