Award Shortlist: Casa BFF
Casa BFF, the new headquarters of BFF Banking Group in Milan, aims to foster strong links to the local community. Providing the backdrop for a new city square featuring a city garden and an outdoor theatre, as well as an Italian contemporary artworks museum, its 40m high portico defines the urban landscape. The impressive portico supports the massive ‘energy roof’. Architectural design is by OBR, of project span of 19,774m2.
Award Shortlist: Radisson Collection Hotel
The Radisson Collection Hotel, Santa Sofia Milan, is a 1960s office building converted into a five-star hotel covering 13,000m2. Setting a benchmark in contemporary design it leverages the concept of a lifestyle hotel for both business and leisure-time audiences. Retaining the original architecture and façade gives a strong nod to the elegant and inspirational design of the building. Architectural design is by Studio Marco Piva in collaboration with Alessandro Cesario, Atelier P, and One Works. The hotel is a pacesetter in the neighbourhood of strong sustainability credentials for which Deerns is the leading consultant.
Award Shortlist: Stream Building
The Stream Building, is a visionary project in the Clichy Batignolles district in the heart of Paris. This “Réinventer Paris” winner, spans 16,200m2, integrates critical business principles about the circular economy, and mixed-use intensification. It also pulls in crucial social principal such as urban agriculture and work/life flexible spaces. Deerns has a key role in certifications such as HQE Excellent and BREEAM Excellent which align sustainable development goals, CPEDD standards and comprehensive environmental assessments.
