“We build state-of-the-art cleanrooms”

As Unit Director Electronics, Erik Renkens loves working on complex and mission critical projects, putting team spirit first.
“Our unique strength is in-depth knowledge of our customers’ processes.”

Erik Renkens explains his love for working at Deerns.

“What attracted me to is not only it’s high profile in the Electronics world and also that the work our clients do are critical to our society.”

The most recent example is a project in Denmark, where he leads a consortium tackling high level complex issues for nanotech R&D. “We are involved in the expansion of a nanotech R&D faculty at the Danish Technical University where we are installing state-of-the-art cleanrooms. In this building critical and innovative steps are being taken towards creating a circular semiconductor industry.”

” We have teams in different cities and countries. So we get to see various places and speak to a wide range of colleagues and customers,” he continues.

“We also offer inhouse services such as building physics and energy which are critical for high building performance. We have in-depth knowledge of our customers’ processes. That is our unique strength.”

Champions League Team Spirit

His role as Unit Director is more than overseeing complex technical challenges. At the heart of it all is the working with colleagues and clients. Erik explains, “At Deerns collaboration is one or our core values. Our business is technical yes, but above all it’s all about people. And that’s what I watch out for in my job. The team is number one! Only when everyone gets along, can you play in the Champions League. That is exactly how we work, so that we perform at the highest level.”
