Today, 28th April, we celebrate the United Nations World Day for Safety and Health at Work by publishing our 2019 CSR video report and showcasing our focus on human health.
Recognizing the great challenge that governments, employers, workers and whole societies are facing worldwide to combat the COVID-19 pandemic while also fighting Climate Change, the World Day for Safety and Health at Work focus on addressing the outbreak of infectious diseases at work, in particular, on the COVID-19 pandemic.
At Deerns, we know that buildings and workplaces can be of vital importance to prevent and control outbreaks. Adequate safety, technical and health measures in building can play a crucial role in containing the spread of the disease, while protecting workers and society at large.
The 2019 CSR report illustrates how we enhance users’ comfort and well-being and how our building designs enable the development of technologies (in our clean technology projects) and services (in our hospital designs) to heal you faster and better!
In terms of CO2 emissions we have reduced our Carbon footprint by 14% (compared to 2018) and our projects efficiency allowed to avoid more than 2,258,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions last year.
With a video we aimed at demonstrating how Deerns’ teams accomplishments are responding to the unprecedented health, social, climate and economy challenges that the world is facing today. Society and the physical world may be changing rapidly, but our innovation and collaborative attitude is here to adapt and react with our stakeholders.
We think, we foresee and we design. By doing so we bring ideas to life - ideas that lead to healthy and smart buildings and climate-neutral businesses.
