Rijswijk, the Netherlands – Deerns Group has realised a € 52 million revenue in 2011. The result before tax was € 6.2 million. Revenue grew with 18% compared to 2010. The activities in Germany, France and Eastern Europe provided the largest relative contributions to the financial results. Given the current economic situation, Deerns is satisfied with the overall result. For 2012, the firm does not foresee significant changes in market conditions.
The firm’s Dutch arm - Deerns Raadgevende Ingenieurs BV, founded in 1928 - employs 350 of Deerns’ 500 staff members. Other national offices are in Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Spain, Dubai and the United States. Deerns is a specialised independent technical consultancy firm in the areas of mechanical, electrical and energy engineering, building physics and sustainable building. Clients are in both the public and private domain in sectors such as health care, telecom, data centres, research facilities, office and commercial real estate and airports.
Deerns plans to extend its current number of 13 office locations in the coming years to support its internationally demanded consulting and design services with proper knowledge of local cultures, systems and regulations.
